Munesh Godara of BJP shot dead by husband who suspected her of having extramarital affair

NEW DELHI: Munesh Godara, a BJP leader was shot dead by her husband who was in an inebriated husband in Gurugram, Haryana on Saturday.

The incident unfolded after the couple had a fight as Munesh’s husband, Sunil suspected her of having an extramarital affair. Sunil came home drunk and shot Munesh while she was talking to her family over the phone.

The crime took place in Sector 93 where the couple was living in a rented house in Gurugram.

SK Jakhar, Munesh’s brother said, "Munesh was speaking to our younger sister over the phone when she was shot. Munesh told her that she was shot by her husband.”

Munesh was the state secretary of BJP Kisan Morcha. She was 34.

Sunil worked as a security officer at an industrial unit in Dhanwapur.

In a complaint to the Gurugram Police filed by Chanderbhaan, the father-in-law of Munesh, he said his son Sunil Godara was living on the 8th floor of a housing society.

Sunil after killing his wife is on the run.

The BJP leader Munesh comes from Naugaon village of Jhajjar district and had worked for the party nominees during the recent Delhi assembly elections.
