NEW DELHI: A Muslim man has recently gone viral on social networking sites and has won the heart of several people after he performed the title track of 'Mahabharat'.

In the video, an elderly Muslim man was seen performing the title track of 'Mahabharat Katha' which was originally sung by Mahendra Kapoor for BR Chopra epic mythological show. He has sung the song in a very fresh mode and was enjoying it

Hitting the right notes with the masses, the video has beautifully serenaded the essence of 'Unity in Diversity.

The video was shared by Dr. S Y Quraishi, the former chief election commissioner of India.

"Beating the stereotypes!" Quraishi wrote on his Twitter.

Not just people in the video, the clip wowed netizens on the microblogging site as well. The rendition of the famous introduction of the Doordarshan drama and the person's delivery of the shlokas left many impressed online. Many said it is the 'true fabric of India' that must be preserved.

Veteran actor Satish Kaul, who was best known for his role of Lord Indra in BR Chopra's "Mahabharat", passed away in Ludhiana on Saturday. He died owing to COVID-19 complications. The late actor, said to be in his early to mid-seventies, had also acted in the popular show "Vikram Aur Betaal", and was often hailed as Amitabh Bachchan of Punjabi cinema in his heydays. Kaul, who worked in over 300 Punjabi and Hindi films along with several TV serials, shifted to Punjab from Mumbai in 2011 with plans to start an acting school in Ludhiana.

However, things didn't work out and the project failed badly, bringing financial woes. The actor was living in financial difficulties for last few years and had even sought help publicly from the film industry.
