Nawab Malik's Daughter Releases Samir Wankhede's Marriage Certificate And Reception Invite
Mumbai: The ongoing dispute between Maharashtra Minister Nawab Malik and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) Zonal Director Samir Wankhede has now again taken a new turn as Malik's daughter Nilofar Malik has released new documents related to Sameer Wankhede.

Nilofer Malik has shared purported marriage certificate and a wedding reception invitation card on social media which claims to be from Wankhede wedding.

According to the document, it was issued by JG Barmeda, the marriage officer of the Bandra Marriage Registrar's Office. The purported certificate shows the signatures of three witnesses namely - Yasmeen Aziz Khan, Nikhil Chheda, and Glen Patel - appear alongside those of the bridegroom Sameer Wankhede and the bride Dr Shabana Quraishi.

The bridegroom's name was listed as "Sameer" (son of Mr Dawood and Mrs Zaheda Wankhede), and the wedding took place in Lokhandwala Garden in Mumbai's Andheri West neighbourhood.

Nilofer Malik Khan also shared a photo of what she said was the couple's wedding reception card. It was allegedly held on December 7, 2006, with the 'nikaah' ritual beginning at 7 p.m. and dinner following that evening.

''While Mr. Wankhede & his kin continue to be in denial despite of all the evidence, here's another piece of proof for all to see. Sameer Dawood Wankhede's wedding invite. Funny that a man who demanded arrests on basis of assumptions, refuses to acknowledge such hard facts,'' Nawab Malik's daughter remarked on Twitter on Saturday.

Nawab Malik, on the other hand, has said repeatedly that his struggle is against Sameer Wankhede's claimed "false caste certificate," not his religion, caste, or family.

The minister also claims that the NCB official is a Muslim who used a forged caste certificate to get access to government jobs reserved for scheduled castes. Following Union Minister of State for Social Justice Ramdas Athawale, Dr Prakash Ambedkar, President of the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, came out in favour of Sameer Wankhede on Saturday.

Kranti Redkar, Sameer Wankhede's wife, has been defending her husband against the claims made by Nawab Malik and his daughter.

Since, the investigation into the high-profile Mumbai cruise narcotics case began, Sameer Wankhede and Nawab Malik have been at odds. The minister has made various severe claims against Sameer Wankhede, including extortion.

The NCB and the Mumbai police have initiated an investigation into extortion claims made by independent witnesses in the matter at hand, which is currently ongoing.

An NCB squad led by Sameer Wankhede had previously detained Nawab Malik's son-in-law Sameer Khan in a narcotics case. Later, he was freed on bond.
