NCB Leader Nawab Malik Says Aryan Khan Has Been Framed, Promises Sameer Wankhede Will Lose His Job

Mumbai: Nawab Malik who is a minister on Maharashtra and a NCP leader has been attacking NCB Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede who is investigating the case of Aryan Khan and others.

However, Wankhede and his family have called Malik's allegations a lie and a joke.

Malik claimed that Wankhede will lose his job.

Malik said that the job of NCB is to bust the inter-state and international rackets.

"Cases of a few grams of drugs are for the local police to handle. NCB hadn't done so in 35 years. The game started with Rhea Chakraborty. The allegation on her was false, and the high court acquitted her. Then a case came that movies people take drugs. About 25 people were called. But there is no charge sheet or a closure report. They use this open case to summon anyone whenever they want. Drug addicts should be sent to rehab. If somebody has consumed drugs, test him and ensure he is punished. But fear is being created among people", a national media reported.

The Bombay High Court on Tuesday adjourned, till Wednesday, the hearing of the bail application of superstar Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan, who has been arrested along with 19 others in the cruise party case by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). Making a forceful plea for bail to Aryan Khan, his lawyer and former Attorney General of India Mukul Rohatgi told the court that the star-son was a special invitee to the ship through event manager Prateek Gaba.

Both Aryan and Arbaaz Merchant were caught before they boarded the ship on October 2, nothing was recovered from Aryan, and the NCB has nothing to show he consumed anything (drugs), he said. "He was arrested on Ocober 3 and his statement recorded. There was no occasion to arrest my client, short and simple," Rohatgi told a single judge bench of Justice N.W. Sambre. He pointed out that even though the NCB officers are not police officers, they exercise police powers, and citing a precedent, said that confessions given to them are inadmissible as evidence.
