NIA Officers Under Probe for Blackmailing

New Delhi: Three NIA officers, including a Superintendent of Police, are facing a departmental probe and have been “transferred out” after a Delhi-based businessman accused them of blackmailing him in a terror funding case involving the Falah-i-Insaniyat Foundation (FIF) linked to the Pakistan-based terrorist Hafiz Saeed. The businessman had complained that the officers sought Rs 2 crore from him so as not to name him in the case involving the 2008 Mumbai terror attack mastermind Saeed, the agency said on Tuesday. The officers have been transferred out of the counter-terrorism agency. (IANS)
