Nuh Volence: FIR Registered for Provocative Speeches at Hindu Gathering in Haryana

HARYANA: In a recent incident, an FIR (First Information Report) has been lodged against unidentified individuals who allegedly delivered inflammatory speeches during the 'Sarv Hindu Samaj mahapanchayat' held on August 13 in Pondri village, Palwal, Haryana. The complaint, filed by Probationer Sub-Inspector (PSI) Sachin, highlights that certain speakers targeted another community, promoting enmity and social disharmony.

The FIR has been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including 153-A, which pertains to promoting hostility between various groups, and 505, dealing with statements causing public unrest. The Hathin Police station undertook the registration of the FIR on Monday, with the assurance from SHO Manoj Kumar that necessary legal measures will be pursued.

The Hindu assembly, organized by various Hindu groups, announced its decision to resume the VHP's Braj Mandal Yatra in Nuh on August 28. The Yatra had been previously disrupted due to communal violence in July. During the assembly, multiple demands were raised, notably calling for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe into the attack on the VHP yatra in Nuh on July 31. Additionally, the assembly advocated for the designation of Nuh as a district free from cow slaughter.

At the heart of the controversy were speeches made by certain Hindu leaders, who spoke about the need to grant Hindus in Nuh, a district with a Muslim majority, easier access to obtaining arms licenses for self-defense purposes.
