Owaisi's Name Will Be Erased Soon From Telangana: Assam CM Himanta Biswa

Hyderabad: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa has come down heavily on Telangana's governing TRS and Asaddudin Owaisi led by AIMIM as he said that the names of Nizam and Owaisi will be wiped out from the state soon.

He attacked them while addressing a gathering at warangal on Sunday to express solidarity with BJP state Chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who was jailed for organising a protest last week.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, the Assam Chief Minister said, ''By betraying his people & aligning with Owaisi, KCR Garu has only hastened his downfall.

Bharat no longer reads about Nizams' history. The new Bharat reads the history of Sardar Patel, Rani Rudrama Devi & Kakatiyas. We have to take a pledge to take our country forward''.

At the gathering, while attacking the AIMIM Chief, Himanta asserted that there was a time when people thought they could rule with the names of Babar and Aurangzeb. But those days are gone.

''Article 370 has been repealed and the construction of Ram Temple has began in Ayodhya, so the day isn't far away when names of erstwhile Nizam and Owaisi are removed too,'' he added.

He further claimed that the Nizam legacy will come to an end and that a new culture based on Indian civilization will emerge in Telangana.
