Petrol, Diesel Prices Increased After 2-Days Pause

New Delhi: After a pause of two days the price of petrol and diesel has increased again on Wednesday.

After the price of petrol and diesel has increased the by Rs 35 paise, the price of petrol in Delhi touched to Rs. 107.94 per litre while diesel prices touched Rs. 96.67 per litre, according to a price notification of state-owned fuel retailers.

In Mumbai Rs 113.80 per litre is petrol price while diesel price touched Rs 104.5 per litre.

In other parts of the country as well the price of fuel has increased in between 35-40 paise per litre.

The fuel prices remained static last week on Monday and Tuesday, but had risen for four straight days by 35 paise per litre previously before again rising for five consecutive days between Wednesday and Sunday.

Earlier, The Congress has slammed the government over yet another hike in petrol prices and alleged that in one year under the Modi rule the prices have increased manifold which is also a record. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Congress General Secretary tweeted in Hindi, "Modi government has made big records in giving pain to the people, highest unemployment under Modi government, most government assets sold under Modi government and petrol prices have also increased most under Modi rule."

Rahul Gandhi also tweeted in Hindi, saying, "Tax robbery on petrol prices continues and if elections are anywhere then this may stop. Congress Chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala took a swipe at the Centre and tweeted "good days" along with a newspaper report on the hike of the petroleum products.
