PM has taken correct decision to extend lockdown: Delhi CM Kejriwal

NEW DELHI: After attending CMs meeting with PM modi, Delhi CM Kejriwal has tweeted, "PM has taken correct decision to extend lockdown. Today, India’s position is better than many developed countries because we started lockdown early. If it is stopped now, all gains would be lost. To consolidate, it is imp to extend it."

In view of rapid deterioration of the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the country, the Union Government has decided to extend the on-going lockdown by two weeks till April 30. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conferencing meeting with all the states and UTs’ Chief Ministers, on Saturday. During the discussion the Prime Minster has agreed to extend the lock, which is to end on April 14 as per earlier announcement by him, by two weeks. As per Union Health Ministry latest data, more than 290 people died from the pandemic and more than six thousand have tasted positive for the deadly virus.

India has so far reported more than 7400 infections and recorded 239 death from coronavirus.
