New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday praised Tanzanian social media star siblings Kili Paul and Neema Paul, who made lip-syncing videos of Bollywood's famous Hindi songs.

The Prime Minister appreciated them during his 'Mann Ki Baat' programme.

The PM said that both have a passion for Indian music, a craze and that is why they are very popular.

"Tanzania's brother and sister Kili Paul and her sister Neema are very much discussed and I am sure you must have heard about them too," PM Modi said in the program.

"Indian music in them. There is a passion for it, there is a craze and that is why he is also very popular,'' he added.

Recently, the Indian High Commission in Tanzania had honoured Kili Paul. Paul has become famous all over the world by lip-syncing Indian songs. He now has a fan following in millions on social media. Not only this, but many Bollywood stars also follow him on social media.

A video of Paul humming the lyrics of the song 'Rataan lambiya' from the film 'Shershaah' was in the news last year. In this video, he appeared with his sister Neema Paul. Since then, Paul has become very popular on Instagram.

The Prime Minister also called upon youngsters to make videos of famous Indian songs in different languages that will not only make them popular but also showcase the country's diversity to the new generation.
