Man Vs Wild, the popular British show on wildlife is to feature a special episode featuring Prime Minister Narendra Modi and as reported, the show is to be hosted by renowned adventurer Bear Grylls. Further, this has also been confirmed that the show is to be aired on Discovery Channel India on 12 August at 9 pm.
The host of the show himself has confirmed the featuring of the Indian PM on the show on his Twitter account. The tweet made by the popular TV host reads thus,
Narendra Modi, excited to be a part of the show, has expressed his feelings about being a featured on the show, told the Discovery Channel, “For years, I have lived among nature, in the mountains and the forests. These years have a lasting impact on my life. So when I was asked about a special programme focussing on life beyond politics and that too in the midst of nature I was both intrigued and inclined to take part in it.”
Modi was enthralled to be part of the show and get himself surrounded by the greens. He also added that this show provided him with a great opportunity to showcase the rich environmental heritage of India to the world. He also added that the show is an opportunity to spread awareness about the importance of conservation of the environment and living a harmonious life with nature. He also added that spending time in the jungle was a great experience for him. The host of the show Bear Grylls is also praised by the PM as blessed with indefatigable energy and quest to experience nature at its purest.
The special episode was shot in the famous Jim Corbett National Park located in Uttarakhand and is to throw some lights on the importance of protecting wildlife. Such a unique step taken by Modi is commendable in the true sense and he truly deserves to be lauded for this.
