Protesters Set Train On Fire In Bihar Over Railway Job Recruitment

Patna: Railway job aspirants protesting over the recruitment exams allegedly set a train on fire on Wednesday.

The anguished protesters vandalized trains and pelted stones which could be seen all over the platform at the railway station.

Notably, these aspirants are protesting against the selection process of the railway's recruitment exams. However, as violence was reported, the railways has decided to suspend its Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) and Level 1 tests.

Following the protests, the Railways has also formed a committee to examine the grievances of those who have passed the exams under different Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) and those who have failed.

The said committee will submit a report to the railway ministry after hearing both parties.

Interestingly, on Tuesday, the railways had issued a general notice, warning the job aspirants of barring them from ever getting recruited, if they were found involved in Vandalism and unlawful activities while protesting.
