Rhea Chakravorty urges Amit Shah to initiate CBI inquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput's death

Guwahati: Rhea Chakraborty, the rumored girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput, has appealed Union Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate a CBI inquiry into the stat's death.

"I'm Sushant Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however, in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter. I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step", Rhea wrote in an Instagram post where she also tagged the official profile of Amit Shah.

Rhea Chakravorty has long been rumored to be Sushant's girlfriend, although the news was never confirmed while Sushant was alive. Sushant's father in an interview where he opened up about his son's death, said that the family too were unaware of the duo's relationship.

Rhea Chakravorty revealed to the police that she moved out of the duo's shared Mumbai apartment days before the 'Dil Bechara' star was found hanging. The death of Sushant Singh Rajput has stirred up a storm across the country, with the star's legions of fans still questioning whether he did truly kill himself.

Rhea's appeal has come one day after  Home Minister Amit Shah has sent Pappu Yadav a letter today, acknowledging his request for a CBI inquiry into the actor's death. The letter stated that Yadav's request was received on June 16, 2020. It added that since the CBI falls under the purview of the Department of Personnel and Training, Yadav's letter is being forwarded to the concerned ministry. Yadav shared a copy of the letter on his Twitter account. Yadav, in his tweet, appealed Shah to take more immediate action.
