MUMBAI : The new reports regarding the condition of Indian wicket- keeper batsman, Rishabh Pant has arrived. Pant underwent a successful knee surgery at the Kokilaben Dhirubhai Ambani hospital on 6th of January, Friday. 

As per the new reports, the cricketer is healing quite fast under extreme medical care by the team. The treatment has been supervised by Dr Dinshaw Pardiwala, the head of the Centre for Sports Medicine and Director of Arthroscopy and shoulder service. 

Rishabh Pant was shifted to Mumbai through air ambulance as he was not in a condition to travel by a commercial airline. Initially the 25 year old cricketer was admitted in Dehradoon hospital. He is currently under observation as stated by a BCCI source. 

After the tragic car incident took place , BCCI issued a statement mentioning that wicketkeeper will undergo a ligament surgery in Mumbai and BCCI medical team will look after the recovery and rehabilitation of the cricketer. 

According to sources, the cricketer suffered a major ligament injury which might take more than 6 months to get fully recovered. This highlights the fact the Rishabh Pant might not make it to the forthcoming IPL 2023 along with Asia Cup and 50 over World Cup.

An official stated that, Pant's injury is somewhat similar to Ravindra Jadeja's injury. Following the injury and long recovery duration, Jadeja had to back off from the Asia Cup 2022. He also could not participate in the T20 World Cup 2022 as he was still recovering.

Rishabh Pant faced a major car accident on 30th of December, 2022. He was driving from Delhi and approaching towards his hometown when the unfortunate incident occurred. Rishabh's car caught fire after colliding with a divider.

He informed that he felt asleep while driving and lost control of the vehicle. However, he managed to miraculously get out of the burning car by breaking the window.
