Sargam Koushal Of India Wins Mrs. World 2022 After 21 Years

Koushal defeated Mrs. Polynesia to win the championship. The second runner-up was Mrs. Canada, who was chosen after Mrs. Polynesia as the first runner-up.

NEW DELHI: Sargam Koushal was chosen Mrs. World 2022, defeating competitors from 63 nations to bring the title back to India after a hiatus of 21 years. At a ceremony held on Saturday night at the Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, Mrs. World 2021 Shaylyn Ford of the US handed the crown to Mumbai-based Koushal.

Mrs. Polynesia was named the first runner-up, and Mrs. Canada was named the second runner-up.

Koushal defeated Mrs. Polynesia to win the championship. The second runner-up was Mrs. Canada, who was chosen after Mrs. Polynesia as the first runner-up.

On the competition's final day, she donned a pink center-slit glitter gown made by Bhawna Rao and received runway coaching from model and pageant specialist Alesia Raut.

On Sunday, the Mrs. India pageant posted the winner's announcement to its official Instagram page.

"The long wait is ended; the CROWN is returned after 21 years!" read the article.

"After 21–22 years, the crown is back with us. I'm overjoyed. I love you, India, and I love you, "Following the ceremony, the newly elected Mrs. World, who is from Jammu and Kashmir, made a video statement.

On the Mrs. World pageant's unverified page, Aditi Govitrikar, the actor-model who brought the Mrs. India crown to India in 2001, also posted a word of congratulations.

Govitrikar wrote while tagging Koushal: "Heartiest congratulations @sargam3 @mrsindiainc so happy to have been part of the journey.. it was time the crown came back after 21 years."

Alesia Raut, a model and pageant specialist, guided Koushal on the runway as she competed in the final round as she donned a pink gown with a center slit and glitter by Bhawna Rao.

2022 Mrs. World Sargam Koushal, who now resides in Mumbai, is originally from Jammu & Kashmir. According to reports, she wed in 2018; her spouse is a member of the Indian Navy. According to sources, the newly crowned Mrs. World also has teaching experience and a master's degree in English literature. She earned the Mrs. India World 2022–23 title in June of this year.
