Guwahati: Saurav Ganguly, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) President and former Captain of the Indian team who led the 'men in blue' to many a memorable triumph, has gone into home quarantine after his brother tested COVID-19 positive.

Dada's elder brother and Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) Joint Secretary Snehasish Ganguly tested positive for COVID-19 and has been admitted to the Belle Vue Clinic in Kolkata after his COVID-19 report returned positive, reports said.

A source close to the Gandhi family told media that the brothers live in the same house, so as per protocol Saurav will have to be in-home quarantine for a stipulated period. Snehasish, a former Bengal first-class player, was reportedly suffering from fever -- a classic sign of the disease -- after which his sample was tested. It came positive today.

According to reports, Snehasish had shifted to their ancestral house, where Sourav is based, in Behala, after his wife and in-laws at his Mominpur residence tested COVID-19 positive.

This is a developing story. Stay tuned for more details.
