School Teacher in Rajkot Arrested for allegedly showing obscene videos to Class V girls

Rajkot: A primary school teacher aged around 39 years old was arrested at Bhavnagar city in Rajkot for allegedly showing obscene videos and photos to three class five girls from his school on Tuesday.

The notorious teacher identified as Jishant Makwana was arrested by the police from Ambica School where he reported being working for the last 12 years.

As per police sources, a complaint was lodged by the father of one of the girls on Monday during lunch break, when three girls aged 11-12 years were sitting in the classroom, Makwana came inside and closed the door. He then allegedly forced the minor girls to see porn videos and pictures on his mobile phone.

What is more shocking into the incident is that the notorious also threatened them to fail them in the exam, when two of the girls opposed to see the porn videos.

Later, the girls after reaching home told their parents about the entire incident and accordingly the parents thronged the school on Tuesday and ransacked the school building. The parents also attacked the teacher out of anger before the school principal and informed the matter to the police thereafter.

Few of the parents also complained that the notorious teacher used to punish the children by forcing them to slap each other in front of the class. He also used to hit the students with steel scale, claimed another parent.

One of the students also revealed that at times Makwana used to make them press his feet in the classroom.

Meanwhile, sub-inspector NC Malaviya of Bhavnagar C Division police station said that Makwana has been booked under section 354 (A), 332 and under various sections of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act 2012.

Furthermore, Nilesh Rawal, President of the City Primary Education Committee sought strict action against Makwana demanding his immediate termination.
