New Delhi: All physical classes of schools in Delhi is ready to open from November 01 after a gap of 18 months.

Earlier on March 12 last year due to Covid the the primary and middle school upto class VIII have not been open even for a single day.

However, classes for 11 and 12 was opened this year but was closed on before April.

Classes IX to XII were opened again on September 1, but there had been no approval for schools to open for younger children.

In a meeting of DDMA which was held on Wednesday was decided to open all school of government and private from November 01.

Deputy Chief Minister of the Nation's Capital Manish Sisodia said All the schools and educational institutes shall be allowed to be opened, for all the classes, in Delhi from 1st November. However, schools shall also continue online classes for the students who are not willing to attend classes offline.

Sisodia further said, "It was informed in the DDMA meeting that in all schools 98-99% staff have received at least one vaccine. But now they should expedite the second dose as well and ensure that the few people who haven't yet received a dose get it."
