Sidhu Moose Wala Murder: Punjab Police Gets 7-Day Remand of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi

New Delhi: A District Court In Mansa, on Wednesday, granted a seven-day police remand of Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who was brought to Punjab by state police.

The Punjab Police on Wednesday morning took gangster Lawrence Bishnoi from Delhi to Punjab to quiz him in connection with the Sidhu Moosewala murder case.

According to reports, Bishnoi was produced before a district court in Mansa which granted a seven-day remand of the gangster. After being remanded to the police, Bishnoi was taken to Kharar for questioning by the police.

Earlier, the Delhi Court had granted Punjab Police the transit remand of taking him to Punjab in the said murder case. The order was passed after the Punjab Police formally arrested the gangster in the singer's murder case.

Reportedly, Bishnoi's name has surfaced as the accused and conspirator in Moose Wala's murder case.

Meanwhile, another development has come to the fore in the case as Additional Director General of Punjab Police Pramod Ban hinted that Special Investigation Team (SIT) is progressing in the case.

The Moose Wala's murder had sparked a huge political row in the state amid calls for dismissal of the Bhagwant Mann government as the government a day before the attack took away the security of Moose Wala.

He was shot dead on the evening of 29 May by gangsters near his native village in Mansa, Punjab. Moose Wala, 28, was traveling in his vehicle when the assailants opened fire on him and two of his friends.

Sidhu Musewala was quite popular among the youth. His songs used to get millions of views and apart from singing; he was also active in politics.

Canada-based Goldy Brar and Lawrence Bishnoi had claimed the responsibility for Punjabi singer Sidhu Moose Wala's murder.
