Guwahati: After Bollywood actor Sonu Sood joined palmshands with Spicejet to bring back 1500 Indian students from Kyrgstan, he has again become a saviour for the migrant workers across India.

It has been reported that the actor has now taken up a new initiative of helping the workers find suitable jobs amid the pandemic.

The 'Dabangg' actor has come out with a free of cost online platform called 'Pravasi Rojgar', which will provide all the necessary information and right linkages to find jobs. "For the past several months, efforts were being made to design a portal which could help migrant workers find a suitable job amid this pandemic. It has been prepared with a lot of hard work. I hope that it will benefit millions of migrant labourers who lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus-induced lockdown." said Sonu Sood.

The actor asserted that it will benefit millions of migrant labourers who lost their jobs due to the Coronavirus induced lockdown crisis.

Notably, this initiative will be supported by community outreach in the villages to find the right job opportunities for migrant workers in different parts across the country.

As per official reports, the app has over 500 reputed companies related to construction, apparel, healthcare, engineering, BPOs, security, automobile, e-commerce and logistics sectors, offering job opportunities.

The online platform 'Pravasi Rojgar' will also be offering specific job training programmes like spoken English.

Meanwhile, a 24×7 helpline has been set up in New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Ahmedabad and Thiruvananthapuram.
