GUWAHATI: SpiceJet, an Indian low-cost airline, has launched a flurry of new services in the Northeast region under the UDAN programme.

Agartala in Tripura and Chattogram in Bangladesh will be connected by one of SpiceJet's two international flights.

Imphal, Manipur, and Mandalay, Myanmar, will be connected by the second flight.

SpiceJet has announced that it will shortly begin brand-new international services from Northeast India. The airline will link Imphal in the Indian state of Manipur with Mandalay in Myanmar as well as Agartala in the Indian state of Tripura with Chattogram in Bangladesh. By the end of June, these new links should be active.

These flights have been allocated by the carrier under its UDAN schedule, which allows airlines to fly flights using government funding to support rural services. As part of the regional connectivity plan, SpiceJet also intends to start and stop a number of additional domestic and international flights. It declared.

On the Kolkata-Tezpur-Kolkata sector, SpiceJet also intends to introduce a new UDAN service.SpiceJet will also begin operating flights on the Kolkata-Agartala-Kolkata and Kolkata-Imphal-Kolkata sectors, as well as restarting service on the Kolkata-Chattogram-Kolkata sector.
