Surgical Strike Anniversary: Prime Minister Narendra Modi Inaugurates Parakram Parv in Jodhpur

Jodhpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday inaugurated “Parakram Parv” organised by the Konark Corps here to commemorate the second anniversary of the surgical strikes across the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir. The Prime Minister was accompanied by Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and Union Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Gajendra Singh Shekhawat. From Jodhpur airport, Modi went straight to Konark War Memorial where he offered floral tributes to the martyrs of 1965, 1971 and other wars and observed a two-minute silence. Earlier in the day, Sitharaman and Raje also paid homage to the martyrs at the war memorial. (IANS)
