Sushant Singh Rajput case: Rhea Chakraborty's WhatsApp chats indicate 'drug angle'

Guwahati: In another twist in Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput death case, new details have come to light which may prove to be an important factor in the ongoing CBI probe in the case.

The WhatsApp chats of Sushant's girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty have deepened suspicion of a drug conspiracy and sources are in possession of the WhatsApp chat in which the actress is talking about drugs.

It is learned from the sources that these are retrieved chats as they were deleted by the actress. The first chat is between Rhea and Gaurav Arya, who is allegedly a drug dealer.

The chats reportedly show Rhea discussing drugs such as marijuana and MDMA over text. "Incase we speak about hard drugs, I haven't been doing too much. Tried MDMA once," Rhea's message reportedly says.

Notably, MD here is considered to be Methylene dioxy methamphetamine, which is a very strong drug.

As per sources, there is also an exchange between Rhea and Sushant's house manager, Samuel Miranda.

However, Rhea's lawyer has dismissed the reports. "Rhea has never consumed drugs in her life ever. She is ready for a blood test," he said in a statement.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) investigation in Sushant's case has unveiled details about Rhea's conversation about drugs in WhatsApp chat. It is certain that the CBI team can join hands with ED in order to analyze the data of Rhea's phone.

During the probe, the ED had seized the phones and laptops of Rhea and her family.

Earlier, BJP MP Subramanian Swamy alleged that Sushant had met a Dubai-based drug dealer before his death.

However, Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde denied claims that the actress has never consumed drugs in her entire life. Maneshinde said that Rhea is ready for a blood test at any time.
