Chennai: As unusual as it sounds, a young girl from Tamil Nadu created a World Record by cooking 46 dishes in just 58 minutes. The young girl, SN Lakshmi Sai Sri entered the UNICO Book of World Records after she cooked as many as 46 dishes in just 58 minutes in Chennai on Tuesday. SN Lakshmi, who created the world record, said that she developed an interest in cooking, and was trained by her mother, N Kalaimagal. She was very happy to achieve this milestone.

Her mother, Kalaimagal said that SN Lakshmi started cooking during the lockdown. When her father saw her doing well, he suggested her to attempt to create the world record.

SN Lakshmi's mother said that her daughter cooks different traditional cuisine of Tamil Nadu. She used to spend most of her time with her mother in the kitchen. It was through her father that they got the idea of her creating a world record in the culinary activity.

When Lakshmi's father started researching on the World Records on culinary activity, he found a ten-year-old girl from Kerala, Saanvi M Prajit, who made 30 dishes in less than one hour. Lakshmi's father wanted her to break Saanvi's record.

Saanvi's food items included corn fritter, fried rice, 'uttapam', chicken roast, etc.

Saanvi is the daughter of the Wing Commander of Indian Air Force Prajit Babu and Manjma, who are from Ernakulam, Kerala. Her achievement was recognised by the Asia Book of Records and also, the India Book of Records.

Saanvi's record was made for the maximum number of dishes cooked by a child. She created the record on August 29.
