Teenager Dragged and Raped in Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh

Firozabad: In a very heartwrenching event, a teenager from Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh was allegedly dragged to a field, and brutally raped by a man of 28 years of age. Not only that, the accused of the heinous crime, filmed a video of a horrific crime on a mobile phone to blackmail the victim. A complaint was filed by the victim, along with which an FIR was lodged against the two men. The prime accused has been arrested.

According to reports, the 16-year-old victim was dragged to the field when she went out of her house to collect fodder for the cattle. The prime accused is identified as Bhuri Singh. Singh's friend, Anil Kumar, filmed the horrific act. They further threatened the girl that they would upload the video on social media if she tells anyone about the incident.

What makes the incident more horrific is that the same men raped the girl multiple times over the last month. The victim said that the accused uploaded her video on social media when she refused to meet them. The additional superintendent of police, Mukesh Chandra Mishra said that based on the complaint registered by the victim, the two accused were booked under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), SC/ST Act and the Information Technology Act.

The prime accused was arrested, and sent to jail, however, the other accused escaped.

A few days back, on January 5, another girl from Moradabad was allegedly raped and thrown off from the terrace of her house by her neighbour. The victim was 19 years old.

The nation is already witnessing outrage and protest over the brutal gang-rape and murder of a 50-year-old woman in Badaun district, Uttar Pradesh. So many cases of rape and violence on women have been reported in Uttar Pradesh, however, it is shocking to see that the Yogi Adityanath-led government care about the protection of cows more than the protecting the women of the state.
