New Delhi: TIME magazine has released a list of 100 pioneers, leaders, titans, artists, and icons who made an impact this year. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, actor Ayushmann Khurrana, Bilkis, also known as the 'dadi from Shaheen Bagh' and Alphabet and Google CEO Sundar Pichai and Professor Ravindra Gupta are among those who made it to the 100 most influential people's list.

Prime Minister Modi who is serving his second tenure as the Prime Minister of India is the only Indian leader who made it to the list. Modi has made it to the TIME magazine's 100 most influential people's list earlier as well. The other leaders who made it to the list are US President Donald Trump, US attorney general William Barr, Taiwan's President Tsai Ing-wen, US NIAID chief Anthony Fauci and Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden and others.

82-year-old Bilkis, the 'Dadi from Saheen Bagh' was an unconventional choice this time, but she was among the leading figures who led peaceful protests in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area against the Citizenship Amendment Act or CAA last year. She was known for sitting at the protest site early morning till midnight almost every day for three months until the protest was disbanded due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Actor Ayushmann Khurrana is the only actor from India who made it to the list. According to reports, Khurrana is the youngest Indian to be featured this year in the TIME Magazine. He has acted in award-winning movies like – Vicky Donor, Subh Mangal Saavdhan, Badhaai Ho, and Article 15.

Sundar Pichai has been featured in the category of 'Titans' along with Miami Heat forward Dwayne Wade, actress Gabrielle Union and Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton among others. People around the world are lauding Google and Alphabet CEO's determination and hard work to come to this level.

Ravindra Gupta, a professor of clinical microbiology at Cambridge University has also been featured by the TIME Magazine under the 'Pioneers' category. Gupta, who is a doctor of Indian origin has achieved the feat of curing the London patient Eric Castellijo of HIV. Castellijo is the second person to be functionally cured of HIV. ''He has empowered me to become an ambassador of hope to millions of people living with HIV around the world'' Castellijo wrote about Dr. Gupta.
