A section of BJP MLAs from Tripura has reached New Delhi to meet the top leadership of the ruling party over Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb's 'poor governance and 'misrule'. The group is led by former health minister of the state and heavyweight BJP MLA Sudip Roy Barma who sought appointments with party president JP Nadda and the general secretary BL Santosh.

According to reports, the team of MLAs is also looking forward to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the matter.

Speaking on the revolt, one of the MLAs said that Chief Minister Deb has on several occasions embarrassed the party with derogatory comments. He further said that the party consists of committed workers and would like the BJP rule in the state to sustain for more than a term.

''With the present leadership of the Chief Minister, opposition forces like the Left and the Congress will recover their lost ground'' the leader said.

Among those camping in Delhi are Sushanta Choudhary, Parimal Deb Barma, DC Rankhwal, Ashish Das, Atul Deb Barma, Burb Mohan Tripura and Ram Prasad Pal.
