Urmila Matondkar joins Shiv Sena today

Mumbai:  Popular Bollywood actress Urmila Matondkar joined Shiv Sena today. The Bollywood actress, Matondkar was a member of the Congress party earlier, however, she left the party 14 months ago. Speaking about switching parties, Matondkar said that she never said she is leaving politics while leaving Congress. According to her, Shiv Sena has fulfilled the expectations of the people since the time it has come into power, that is, since November 2019.

She further said that politics has a 'poisonous' environment, which needs to be pushed out. She joined the party at the residence of Thackerays. Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray along with his wife Rashmi was present during her joining.

Matondkar said she is very proud to be a part of Shiv Sena's strong Mahila aghadi. She said that the Maharashtra Government has always kept serving and helping its people the first priority. Matondkar is looking forward to work for the women of the state.

Matondkar also said that unrequired attention has been given to Kangana Ranaut, who is much in the news for being against the Shiv Sena government. She said she won't talk about her as enough has been said already.

Talking positively about the trolls Matondkar is facing for joining Shiv Sena, she said that she welcomes all the trolls about her as it only boosts her confidence of being on the correct path. She is determined to march ahead with the step she has taken.

Matondkar also commented on Bollywood's reputation as of now. She is in the view that Bollywood needs to stand up for itself now.

Matondkar has given several hit films. She is loved for her intense style and dancing skills. She gained wide recognition from her movie Masoom, which was released in the year 1983. A few of her popular hits are Rangeela, Judaai, Chamatkaar and so on.
