Chingari, an Indian based app, has reportedly witnessed 5 downloads in just 72 hours.

With the rising sentiment in the country of boycotting Chinese apps and products, developers of India has introduced a new app 'Chingari', which is a video sharing platform.

The app provides users with trending news, memes, status videos, and a lot more. Similar to TikTok, the content creators can earn money depending on the rate at which a video gets viral.

It is to be noted that Chingari was developed by Bengaluru programmers, Biswatma Nayak and Siddharth Gautam.

The app is accessible in nine Indian languages, apart from English. The different languages include Hindi, Bangla, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Punjabi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu.

It is to be mentioned that in a recent week, Chingari has witnessed a rapid increase in its popularity. The increase in popularity has topped the trending chart on the Google play store.
