Guwahati: Wishes pouring in for Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 70th birthday today.

The ruling party BJP has organized a Seva Saptah (Service Week) from September 14 to 20th to mark PM Modi's birthday. Several activities like planting of saplings, distribution of fruits in Covid-19 hospitals, donation of artificial limbs and other equipment to 70 differently-abled people in every district across the nation will take place during the Sewa Saptah.

Born in Mehsana district of Gujarat, PM Modi is the fourth longest-serving prime minister in the history of India. 

Birthday wishes for the Prime Minister are pouring in from all quarters.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal, Assam Finance, Health and Education minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, all tweeted their birthday wishes for the Prime Minister.

Taking to Twitter, Defence Minister  Rajnath Singh wishes PM ,"Greetings and warm wishes to PM Shri @narendramodi on his birthday. "

Assam CM Sarbananda Sonowal wrote in his Twitter message.

State Finance, Health and Education Minister Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma also extended his wishes to PM Modi on his 70th birthday.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi also wished Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his birthday today.

Several international leaders including Russian President Vladimir Putin, Nepal Prime minister KP Sharma sent in their birthday wishes to Prime Minister Modi.
