Young Shooter Konica Layak Commits Suicide

New Delhi: India's rising young shooter Konica Layak has shocked the sports world by committing suicide.

The 26-year-old Konica, a resident of Dhanbad, Jharkhand, came into the limelight this year when she pleaded the Jharkhand government and Bollywood actor Sonu Sood to give her a rifle.

After this Sonu Sood promised to help her and Konika herself thanked the actor by sharing a picture with rifle on 26th June.

However, it is yet to ascertain that why Konica committed suicide but it is being told that she was training in Kolkata with former Olympian and Arjuna Award winner Jaideep Karmakar.

She committed suicide by hanging himself in his hostel room on Wednesday.

Reportedly, a suicide note has been found where she stated that due to depression she is taking this extreme step.

Meanwhile, the police have started investigation in this regard.
