10 arrested in witch-hunting case

DIGBOI, May 14: Following the assault of six innocent villagers of Borbil No 3 under Digboi Police Station for allegedly practicing black magic, the Digboi Police arrested 10 persons allegedly involved in the assault. According  to police, the accused were identified as Rapsey alias Durga Doren (38), Dewan Sautal (35), ndalal Doren (30), Bazun Besra (42), Manoj Hassan (20), Ashok Soren (26), Ahoy Soren alias Khuriya (24), And Soren  alias Kancha (20),Dunesh Mardi (19) and Tinku Mardi (21), all belonging to Borbil No 3 under Digboi police station. Meanwhile, based on case no 81/16, the accused were prosecuted u/s 143 and 326 and forwarded  to SDJM Margherita on Saturday morning.
