Dibrugarh, July 19: A total of 397 Girl NCC Cadets and four associated NCC Officers from Dibrugarh, Chabua, Tinsukia, Doomdooma, Sibsagar, Bordumsa, Mahadevpur and Tezu participated in the 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp (CATC) which was recently organized by the 63 Assam Girls Battalion NCC, Graham Bazaar at DHSK College.
In the 10-day training camp, the cadets were given training in NCC subjects like drill with and without arms, map reading, weapon handling and field craft and battle craft. As part of the training programme, the cadets also visited the Army Firing Range here at Dinjan for carrying out firing practice.
Moreover, the district administration provided instructors for imparting training to the NCC cadets in miscellaneous subjects apart from NCC syllabus like fire fighting, traffic control and civil defense. Medical and police personnel, including a lady doctor, nursing staff and a lady constable were also present at the training camp.
As part of the concluding event of the training camp, the cadets also took part in various games and cultural events.
