10-day Craft Bazar gets under way in Dibrugarh

Dibrugarh, February 8: Craft Bazar, organized by Assam State Development Corporation for OBC Limited, Guwahati and sponsored by Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Government of India, Ministry of Textiles, New Delhi , was kicked off at the  Dibrugarh Government  Boys’ High School field , Milangar on Monday.

All total 100 entrepreneurs, Self-Helf Groups, handicraft artisans are participating in the 10-day Crafts Bazar.

Formally iugurating the Craft Bazar, senior jourlist, I Ahmed appreciated the organizer for offering a platform for local craftsmen, weavers and artisans to selling their products. This Craft Bazar would give an opportunity to our people to exchange ideas, designs and how to create a strong network of sale through interaction with the participants of other States, said Ahmed. He hoped that the work and designs of local weavers and craftsmen would certainly become popular among the people.

Amongst others, the meeting was attended by several office bearers of the State Development Corporation for OBC Limited including its Assistant Accountant, Lakhya Kumar Mili.

Earlier, Bitul Talukdar of OBC Limited welcomed the gathering while Kanchan Joti Gohain offered the vote of thanks.
