10-day long CATC- 2016 concludes

Tezpur, June 9: The tiol Cadet Corps, Combined Annual Training Camp- 2016 (CATC-2016) under the aegis of Group Headquarters (B) NCC, Tezpur concluded on Thursday at North Lakhimpur College, North Lakhimpur.

 In a press note,  Major Aniruddha Bhuyan, Officer Commanding , 5 Assam Bn. NCC, Tezpur  said that Lt Col SS Sisodia , Officer Commanding, 72 Assam Girls (I) Coy, NCC and Major Aniruddha Bhuyan, Officer Commanding , 5 Assam Bn NCC welcomed over 500 NCC cadets from schools and colleges across the State on the opening day.

 The CATC aimed at reaching out and bringing the youths of the country closer to tion building as worthy citizens and developing qualities such as leadership, camaraderie and patriotism. The cadets were also given a first-hand glimpse of Army life. The training included physical training, drill, weapon training, sports and cultural development.

Special emphasis was also given to Swacch Bharat Abhiyan with cadets dedicating one hour each day for the same.
