10 examinees, one invigilator expelled

KOKRAJHAR, Feb 17: As many as 10 students who are appearing in the High School Living Certificate (HSLC) examition and an invigilator have been expelled on the first day of the examition today in Kokrajhar district. Jagadish Prasad Brahma, Inspector of Schools (IS), Kokrajhar said that on the first day of the matriculation examition, a teacher on duty and ten students have been expelled in Kokrajhar district. He said six students in Silbari examition centre, one each from Kokrajhar centre C-Rupsi, Ramfalbil and Debitola centres and also an invigilator in Debitola centre were expelled on the first day of the examition. Brahma said to maintain strict rule in all examition centre, close circuit cameras have been installed to watch the overall conduct of examition. He also said out 13,723 candidates in Kokrajhar district, 13,288 students appeared while 435 remained absent.
