10 seriously injured in road mishap

HAFLONG, March 15: At least ten persons including a minor boy were seriously injured when a speeding truck rammed  into a  Cruiser coming from Silchar to Haflong near Dittockcherra under Harangajao Police Station around 55 kilometers from Haflong today.

The cruiser bearing registration number AS-11BC-6443 carrying ten passengers was on its way to Haflong from Silchar when the truck (AS01Y-0159) losing its control rammed into it near Dittockcherra  here.

The injured have been identified as Pirthi Sur, 49, Samar Barman, 40, Silbhadra Jaishi, 13, haruddin  Chowdhury, 55, Swarup Langthasa, 20, Nitai Debth, Jaishimuddin Laskar, MoloyDas , Mahesh Barman Baharuddin Borbhuiyan (driver).

The police from Harangajao police station immediately rushed to the spot and  shift the injured first to Harangajao PHC and then Silchar and Haflong for further treatment.
