10-year-old girl raped at Kalaigaon

KALAIGAON, August 7: A 10-year old girl was allegedly raped in her own house at  Tokankata village under Kalaigaon police station on Thursday at around 6 pm by a 50-year-old man.  

The accused  rapist has been identified as Bhabiram Rabha of village Tokankata.

According to police on Thursday evening the rapist entered to the victim’s house when no one was there in her house.

Accused Bhabiram allegedly forcefully brought her inside the room and allegedly raped. Later the villager caught him and handed over to police.

An FIR has been lodged against the rapist at Kalaigaon Police and a case has been registered under section 448/376 IPC. Meanwhile, the accused rapist has been sent to the  Udalguri jail.
