108 service launched in East Garo Hills

SHILLONG, Oct 11: Sengm M. Marak, Parliamentary Secretary (Health) and MLA of Rongjeng constituency in East Garo Hills District, formally launched the 108 Emergency Response Service Ambulances to be based out of Rongjeng recently at Rongjeng football ground.  Others present during the function beside the MLA were Mr. Matrinson G. Momin, MDC of Rongjeng constituency, Dr. Rikrak Marak from the DMHO, East Garo Hills, Dr. Mayur Marak of Rongjeng PHC, the Officer-in-Charge of Rongjeng Police Station and the Nokma.  With the launch of the 108 Emergency Response Service Ambulances at Rongjeng the total number of 108 Ambulance in East Garo Hills District is two, the other being based at Williamgar.
