11-hour Karbi Anglong shutdown today

HAMREN, Jan 25: Various outfits have declared to ban Republic Day celebration in WESEA region. These outfits have called for a total shutdown in the entire region for 11 hours on January 26 from 6 am to 5 pm.  This was stated in a press release issued by J K Lijang, chairman of People’s Democratic Council of Karbi-Longri (PDCK), Hynniewtrep tion Liberation Council (HNLC) publicity secretary Sainkupar Nongtraw, Ksh laba Meitel, president of Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), N.Oken,  chairman of Kanglei Yawol Kan Lup (KYKL), and Sengphui Borok, organizing secretary of tiol Liberation Front Twipra (NLFT).
