11 hurt in road mishap

Shillong, Aug 31: At least 11 persons were injured in a road mishap at Sumer village in Ri Bhoi district, about 22 km from here, on Thursday morning. According to reports, a speeding bus (AS01 FC 2185) travelling to Guwahati from Silchar on tiol Highway 6 jumped the road divider and overturned on the other side around 4.15 am, injuring the passengers. The injured have been admitted to Umsning CHC and Shillong Civil Hospital, while a few were taken to Guwahati for treatment.
