12-hour Assam, Tripura bandh on December 16

KOKRAJHAR, December 13: The tiol Federation for New States (NFNS) has called a 12-hour Assam and Tripura bandh on December 16 from 5 am to 5 pm, supported by the State demand groups-ABSU, JACAS, ADSU, NDFB (P) and People’s Joint Action Committee of Bodoland Movement (PJACBM). This was informed by the general secretary of the ABSU, Lawrence Islary. He said the organizations were sticking to the bandh call for the demand of creation of Bodoland, Karbi State, Dimaraji and Tipraland. Islary said the bandh was called on December 5 but due to ongoing annual examition of the students, the bandh was postponed. He said the bandh has been rescheduled on December 16.
