12-hour middle Assam bandh called

Jagiroad, June 22: The All Tiwa Students’ Union (ATSU), Karbi Students’ Union, Aimoria Tribal Sangha and many other associations have called a 12-hour middle Assam bandh on Tuesday from 5 am. The bandh has been called in support of their long standing demands like inclusion of additiol villages in Tiwa Autonomous Council area and holding of election in six centres of the council in Kamrup district. On the other hand, a fraction of ATSU has opposed the bandh which has created confusion among the people.
