12-hour South Kamrup bandh called

BOKO, Oct 13: CITU, CPM, Dakhin Kamrup Samanyrakhi Samittee, Krishak Sabha, AASU and Satra Mukti Sangram Samiti (SMSS) stated a protest against the cabinet decision to scrap South Kamrup district and blocked NH-37 for an hour on Thursday.
The activists also submitted a memorandum through the ADC, Chaygaon to the Assam Governor and Chief Minister. On October 21, a 12-hour South Kamrup bandh has been called by Dakhin Kamrup Jila Dabi Samanyrakhi Samittee and other organizations have supported the bandh call.
