GUWAHATI, Feb 15: Assam Club Championship soccer will kick off in the third week of February at Parbatjhora near Kokrajhar. 12 teams will participate in this edition of the meet. Disclosing the news to the media Ankur Dutta, the secretary of the Assam Football Association, said that from this season they will introduce one club level competition for the women Soccer players of the state. The meet will be held at Mariani in the next month.
Meanwhile Assam Football Association has rescheduled the date of Assam Premier League soccer Championship. Dutta informed that the meet will now kick-off in May and altogether eight teams will participate in the championship.
