12-year-old gang raped in Laluk, two bbed

LAKHIMPUR, January 11: A 12-year old girl was allegedly gang raped at Laluk Karubari on Sunday. According to sources, the victim was allegedly kidpped at around 8 pm from her house by a man med Dipak Pal of the same village. He took her to a nearby paddy field where she was gang raped by him and his friends. The girl was rescued by her family members at the paddy field early morning on Monday. She was unconscious. Following the incident, the people of Karubari village turned violent and maged to grab two accused - Dipak Pal (20) and Shyamal Das (20). The furious mob attacked them publicly and they were later taken into police custody. Laluk police is searching for the other culprits involved in the heinous crime.
