129th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra observed

Tezpur, Feb 12:  The 129th birth anniversary of Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra and 31st Sri Bigrah Pratistha Utsav of Tezpur Satsang Vihar was observed on Sunday at Tezpur Satsang Vihar premises with a day-long programme of Bedmangolik, Ushakirtan, offering bhog, prayer, reading holy books, bhajan-kirtan and around 6,000 devotees from nearby areas, irrespective of caste and creed, assembled to celebrate the anniversary and to offer prayers. They also distributed prasad.  Dimbeswar Saikia, president of the reception committee, said that Sri Sri Thakur Anukulchandra was an ideal and the Satsang was a man-making industry.  He further dwelt at length on the life and ideology of Sri Sri Thakur while discussing philanthropic activities of the Satsang founded by Sri Sri Thakur.   Social workers Maya Das, Swarup Mohan Das (SPR), Jibanjyoti Kurmi (SPR), Prafulla Borthakur, Kan Bora, Prafulla Bora and Dinomoni Talukdar were present.
