13 shops gutted in fire in Lakhimpur

Lakhimpur, July 6: A fire broke out on Sunday night in north Lakhimpur town due to short circuit. Around 13 shops of Hazarika Market at NT Road were completely burnt  resulting in a massive loss of property worth around Rs 1 crore. According to sources the short circuit started either in Anjuma Garments or Ashirbaad Fashion. Five fire tenders worked continuously to douse the flames.
