135 beneficiaries allotted free LPG connection

Silchar, April 22: Ujjwala Divas under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) was observed in Binnakandi Ghat on Friday where 135 beneficiaries were allotted free LPG connection. Ujjwala Divas, a part of Gram Swaraj Abhiyan, was organized by Maa Jagadambe Gas Agency at his office premises. Distribution of gas connections began at around 10 in the morning. Debashish Ahir, a staff of the gas agency, put forth the aims and objectives of Ujjwala Divas. Durga Kanta Pandey, retired head teacher of Jogai Mathura High School, advised the consumers to use gas carefully so as to avoid accidents and mishaps.
