14 candidates submit nomition papers for BTC polls in Kokrajhar

KOKRAJHAR, March 24: A large number of candidates from different political groups thronged the Deputy Commissioner office in Kokrajhar to file their nomition papers on Tuesday.

At least 14 candidates from BPF, BJP, PCDR, and AGP and Independent filed their nomition papers on Tuesday for the BTC election scheduled for April 8. BTC chief Hagrama Mohilary from 10 No. Deborgaon constituency, Derhasat Basumatary from 12 No Salakati constituency, Doneswar Goyary from 11 No. Baokungri constituency, Rajib Kr. Brahma from 9 No Bargaon constituency, Bhaktar Ali Ahamed from 7 No Fakiragram constituency from Bodoland People's Front (BPF) submitted their nomition papers before the Returning Officers at the Deputy Commissioner office here in Kokrajhar.

BJP candidates Mono Kr Brahma from 9 No Bargaon constituency, Maloti Rani rzary from 12 No Salakati constituency, Rajkumar Brahma from 11 No. Baokungri constituency, Yamao Jwhwlao Brahma from 10 No.Deborgaon constituency and Dilip Kumar Barman from 7 No Fakiragram constituency submitted their nomition papers on Tuesday at Kokrajhar.

PCDR candidate Garjon Mochahary from Baokungri constituency, Jakir Hussain from Fakiragram constituency as AGP candidate, Pankaj Islary from Bargaon constituency as Independent candidate and Mohendra Ray from Fakiragram constituency as Independent candidate submitted their nomitions papers to election officers in Kokrajhar.

During the time of submission of nomition papers the candidate of different political party were seen with a large number of their supporters.  BPF president Hagrama Mohilary also submitted his nomition files along with a huge number of supporters. Mohilary said that the BPF would form the BTC government getting absolute majority in the election.

Meanwhile, in Chirang district three candidates for 13 Chirang, three candidates for 14 Chirang Duar and four candidates for 15 Kajalgaon submitted their nomition papers in Kajalgaon Sadar Subdivision in Chirang district on Tuesday.
